Trick or Treat in the Street

This is one of those small-town traditions that sticks with you ~ especially for the kids.
Downtown Woodland fills up with spooky fun as local businesses line the streets in costume, handing out candy to every trick-or-treater who comes through.
The roads are packed with ghouls, goblins, princesses, and memes… candy everywhere ~ energy everywhere.

It’s chaotic, it’s festive, and it’s so much fun.
It happens on HALLOWEEN DAY in Downtown Woodland

Fall Activities in Woodland, WA

OCTOBER 11 at 1pm

Family fun, local shopping, good food and one very haunted surprise.
Lewis River Little League is bringing the community together for a family-friendly Fall Ball Bash packed with food, shopping, games, and plenty to keep the kids busy.
And this year Woodland Weekender is joining the fun in person with a haunted house 👻
So come hungry, bring the kids, browse local vendors, play some games, and stop by to say hi to the Weekender crew before you work up the nerve to head through our spooky little setup.
It’s the kind of fall event we love around here: local families, local organizations, a little chaos, and a whole lot of community fun.
Come find us we’ll be the ones with the haunted house. 🎃

If there’s one place that absolutely understands the assignment when it comes to fall, it’s The Patch at Whalen Oaks Farms 🎃🍂 Spread across 40+ acres in the Woodland bottoms, it’s a full fall-day pumpkin adventure.

Wander the huge u-pick field with 60+ varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, tackle one of two corn mazes (including one just for the littles), go pumpkin bowling, climb and race through the giant hay maze and pyramid, grab something good from the weekend food vendors, shop the marketplace, and take all the obligatory fall photos.

There are pumpkins and fall goodies everywhere, plenty for kids to burn off some energy, and enough going on to easily make an afternoon of it.

Best of all? Parking and admission are free. The Patch is one of those Woodland fall traditions that makes you realize we’re pretty good at spooky season around here.

Halloween in Woodland means trunk-or-treats… and usually plenty of them 👻🎃

Every year, local businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and community groups fill parking lots with decorated trunks, costumes, games, and an unreasonable amount of candy. They’re easy, family-friendly, and especially great for little trick-or-treaters who want to load up their buckets without walking six miles to do it. 😂 Dates and locations pop up throughout the season, so follow Woodland Weekender on Facebook to catch this year’s trunk-or-treats as they’re announced!

For the cozy PNW side of fall, it’s hard to beat the Cedar Creek Grist Mill🍎

Tucked into the woods along Cedar Creek, the historic mill leans into the season with the kind of stuff that just feels like fall around here.

They have freshly milled grains turned into cornbread and other baked goods, apple cider from fresh Woodland apples, seasonal gatherings, and even bluegrass jam making at the mill.

It’s less spooky season and more flannel, crisp air, rushing water, warm food, and old-fashioned Pacific Northwest fall… the Woodland way 🌲

Woodland doesn’t just do Halloween.. we get into it 🎃
Once October hits, neighborhoods around town start transforming with glowing pumpkins, towering skeletons, spooky animatronics, full-on themed yards, and plenty of cozy fall displays mixed in between.
Some houses keep it cute. Some go creepy. And some clearly spend 11 months waiting for their moment 😂

Take a drive or a walk through town after dark and you’ll see it for yourself: Woodland knows how to celebrate spooky season. 👻🍂
