Spring looks good on Woodland.

Hulda Klugar Lilac Gardens
Every spring, Woodland turns a little purple.
Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens is a National Historic Site built around the home, gardens, and work of Hulda Klager. She is a legendary Woodland horticulturist known as the Lilac Lady. Beginning in the early 1900s, Hulda developed new lilac varieties from her family farm and eventually began opening her gardens each spring so others could enjoy them.
That tradition lives on today with Lilac Days, held each spring during the 23 days leading up to and including Mother’s Day. Thousands of visitors wander the four-acre grounds among historic lilacs, flowering trees and gardens surrounding the Victorian farmhouse.
Lilac Days
This is when the whole place really comes alive.
During Lilac Days, visitors can explore the gardens, tour Hulda’s historic home, visit the barn museum, browse the gift shop and shop the annual lilac plant sale — including varieties originally hybridized by Hulda herself. Peak bloom varies with the weather, so checking the garden’s current bloom report before making a special trip is always smart.

Finding Local isn’t going to be hard anymore
Woodland has more businesses than most of us realize. The problem is they’re scattered across Google, Facebook, word of mouth, and that one recommendation somebody gave you six months ago that you definitely forgot.
So we started putting them in one place.

A Directory That Actually Means Woodland
The new Woodland Weekender Directory is built to make finding businesses right here easier — places to eat, people to hire, shops to wander into, family stuff, local farms, community organizations, and the businesses you didn’t know were three minutes away.
Because “near me” should mean actually near me.
