WOODLAND PTSA

The People Behind a Whole Lot of the Good Stuff

If you have kids in Woodland schools, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve seen the PTSA at work, even if you didn’t realize it was them.

They’re behind fundraisers, school events, Walk-a-Thons, family activities, teacher and staff support, and a whole lot of the little extras that make school feel like more than just a place kids go every day.

It’s not just one fundraiser or hosting one even.
It’s that Woodland PTSA keeps showing up.

đź’› PARENTS. TEACHERS. STUDENTS. COMMUNITY.

Woodland PTSA brings parents, caregivers, teachers, school staff, local businesses, and community members together to create better experiences and opportunities for Woodland kids.

And when the community gets behind something, pretty great things can happen.

From school improvements and classroom resources to family events and community partnerships, PTSA helps turn good ideas into things that make a real difference. One example is the walking path at Columbia Elementary, a project brought to life through PTSA leadership, local businesses, donations, and volunteers.

That’s what makes organizations like PTSA so important in a town like Woodland. Somebody sees something that could be better, a bunch of people pitch in, and suddenly it gets done.

A WELL DESERVED SPOTLIGHT

GOOD THINGS HAPPEN WHEN WOODLAND TEAMS UP

One of the best things about Woodland PTSA is that they don’t do it alone. Local businesses regularly step up to support our schools, and PTSA helps turn those partnerships into something that directly benefits Woodland kids.

From fundraising nights with Woodland Burgerville to a pizza collaboration with Woodland Corner Store for Bingo, these partnerships make supporting our schools a little more fun. Woodland Les Schwab even donates popcorn for the middle school’s good behavior program, helping celebrate students who are doing great things. Launch Woodland even jumps in for social media management.

It’s a pretty great reminder of what makes a small town work. Local businesses show up for our schools, families show up for local businesses, and the whole community benefits.

That’s the kind of Woodland we love to see.

Want to get involved>

You don’t have to be the person who volunteers for everything to make a difference.
Come to a meeting. Help at an event. Share a fundraiser. Donate when you can. Volunteer for one thing you’re good at. Or simply follow along so you know when PTSA could use an extra set of hands.

A lot of people doing a little is how small towns get a whole lot done.

Businesses in the Spotlight

There are a lot of good people doing really good work around Woodland. Some are building businesses from scratch, some have been part of this town for years, and plenty are the same people you’ll see sponsoring local events, supporting schools, donating to fundraisers, and showing up for community.

We like what they’re doing. We think you should know about them, too.

Growing Montessori Outdoor Schoool

Nature-based learning, local families, and a whole lot of heart. Nestled in the hills of Woodland gives students ages 3-6 a place to learn, explore, and grow outside the traditional classroom

Forward Movement Construction

Built in Woodland. Invested in Woodland. They’re the kind of local business that’s family-focused, and a familiar supporter of local events and organizations.. and will fix your fence!

THERE’S USUALLY SOMETHING HAPPENING

Woodland Likes an Excuse to Get Together

Give us a sunny evening, a holiday, a good cause, or apparently just an available parking lot, and somebody around here will turn it into an event. Planters Days owns the beginning of summer. Movies fill the park when the evenings get long. Fall brings pumpkins, markets and Halloween everything. Then come the bazaars, lights and small-town Christmas traditions before we start all over again. In between? Markets, fundraisers, workshops, live music, school events and plenty of reasons to leave the house.

The Calendar Changes. The Traditions Stick Around.
