Downtown Woodland Revitalization
Supporting Downtown Woodland, Local Businesses & Community Events
Downtown Woodland Revitalization works to strengthen the heart of Woodland by supporting local businesses, improving the downtown experience, promoting tourism, and creating reasons for people to gather here.
Their work touches a lot of the things people recognize as part of Woodland life. From seasonal events and downtown improvements to the Woodland Welcome Center and community traditions that bring people together throughout the year. DWR’s stated mission is to create a welcoming environment that respects Woodland’s cultural, historic, and natural resources while helping build a stronger local economy.

Woodland’s
Welcome Center

The Woodland Welcome Center
One of Downtown Woodland Revitalization’s biggest recent projects is the Woodland Welcome Center, located at 211 Lakeshore Drive near Horseshoe Lake.
The Welcome Center gives visitors and locals a place to find information about Woodland attractions, events, businesses, and things to do. It also helps connect visitors directly with the community instead of sending them straight back to a generic search engine.
And this isn’t just a rack of brochures.
The Welcome Center also gives local makers and vendors a physical place to be discovered, making it another way DWR supports Woodland businesses while helping visitors find something genuinely local.
Whether you’re visiting Woodland for Lilac Days, Planters Days, a weekend at Horseshoe Lake, or simply stopping along I-5, the Welcome Center is an easy place to start exploring.
DWR currently lists the Welcome Center as open daily from 10 AM–4 PM.
Bringing Woodland Together
HOT SUMMER NIGHTS & MOVIES IN THE PARK
Downtown Woodland Revitalization helps bring Hot Summer Nights & Movies in the Park to Woodland, a recurring summer series built around live music, local food and craft vendors, family activities, and free outdoor movies after sunset.
These nights are exactly the kind of thing that makes Woodland feel like Woodland: families spread out across the park, local organizations and businesses showing up, kids running around, neighbors catching up, and everyone sticking around until the movie starts.
DWR also helps support other seasonal Woodland traditions, including WinterFest and the Christmas Tree Lighting, while connecting residents and visitors with events throughout the community.
It’s community-building disguised as a really good Friday night.

More Than Events
Revitalizing Woodland, One Project at a Time
DWR supports the downtown business community, promotes Woodland as a place worth visiting, works on beautification projects, decorates downtown throughout the year, creates opportunities for vendors and sponsors, operates the Welcome Center, and helps connect businesses with the people already moving through town.
It’s all built around one bigger idea:
A healthy downtown makes for a stronger Woodland.

On Family Focus
Some of the strongest parts of Woodland are the people building community around kids and families. Growing Montessori and Woodland PTSA do that in very different ways. One through thoughtful, nature-based early learning. The other through school support, events, advocacy, and family connection.
Both are creating spaces where local kids can feel supported, families can feel connected, and community shows up in ways that actually matter.
We like what they’re doing. We think you should know about them, too.

Growing Montessori Outdoor Schoool
Nature-based learning, local families, and a whole lot of heart. Nestled in the hills of Woodland gives students ages 3-6 a place to learn, explore, and grow outside the traditional classroom

Woodland
PTSA
Woodland PTSA brings families, schools, and community together through events, fundraising, advocacy, and the steady behind-the-scenes support local students rely on.
