Horseshoe hosts our favorite events; Planters day, Movies in the Park, and Winterfest.
There’s great shopping and food with a short walk. It’s the spot to be in town.
WHERE THE LOCALS GO
Whether you’re looking for a great place to walk, let the kids run around, or a good boat launch – Woodland has more outdoor spots than people expect.
Austin Point Park
Austin Point is a quieter, more tucked-away spot – Austin Point feels like a place locals stumble upon on accident and then keep coming back to. There’s sandy river beaches – great spot to cool off. The kids can run and play while you relax near the river.
And in this local’s personal opinion, it’s the best place to watch sunset in all of Woodland.
Goerig Park
Goerig Park is one of those local favorites parks – it’s boat launch to Lewis River is great for small boat, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, and of course a solid fishing bank. Big Thanks to Northwest Steelheaders for maintaining this spot and donating the life jacket station.
Haapa Boat Launch
This popular fishing and river access area sits on North Fork Lewis River upstream from the Columbia. Due to depth, this boat launch can only handle smaller boats but boasts plenty of room and picnic tables for to hang while you set off!
Locals will tell you the river is the perfect temp to jump in for a swim while setting off on their paddleboards and kayaks.
